Standard Alerts for patients receiving services related to a substance use disorder (SUD) generated by a part 2 program are allowed only if the patient has given consent for a receiving provider to access Healthix data for that patient. In the past, if a facility/provider had a 42 CFR Part 2 program in addition to many other non-Part 2 programs, Healthix was forced to flag the entire facility as 42 CFR Part 2. This in turn resulted in over blocking of Alerts that could have been delivered without consent for non-SUD qualifying events. Similarly, Alerts based on events that took place at facilities with OMH/OPWDD licensed programs were affected.
We are happy to report that thanks to the collaboration with our Hospital partners, we are now receiving location codes for the vast majority of their SAMHSA/OASAS/ OMH facilities. To see which hospitals, you can expect to receive alerts from refer to the list below.
