Accessibility Policy Statement

At Healthix, we are committed to accessibility. It is our goal to ensure that everyone, including persons with disabilities, has full and equal access to our digital offerings.

We endeavor to make healthix.org websites responsive and accessible according to WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines that impact their construction and display: e.g., proper use of semantic markup, image alt tags, color contrast, keyboard access, form labels, compliant interactive elements, etc. Many accessibility goals have been met by Healthix, while others are in progress.

In addition, Healthix is undertaking the following goals:

Track Recommended Standards

We endeavor to keep abreast of any changes to compliance standards to ensure that we are aware of and responding to the latest accessibility requirements. In partnership with our accessibility consultants, we will convene at least annual reviews of the current WCAG and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and make best efforts to respond to any new or changed requirements swiftly.

Monitoring of Websites

New and changing content can introduce accessibility issues and provide opportunities for improvement. We will regularly monitor content changes to identify accessibility problems and solutions both manually and using third-party accessibility monitoring tools.

Incorporate User Feedback

We will invite user feedback and use it to help guide improvements and identify areas in need of attention. We will make it easy for website users to submit feedback on accessibility and ensure that any feedback is used when considering future improvements.

We are in the process of ensuring our customer support team is able to respond to user accessibility issues by having a clear escalation path for any accessibility issues that cannot be resolved immediately. We will inform the user who raised the issue of any escalation that requires more extensive changes and when improvements might be expected.

Content Manager Training

We require that all website content managers—including content writers, editors, and designers—to undergo mandatory web accessibility training prior to contributing to our websites.

Our accessibility efforts are a work in progress. This Accessibility Policy Statement may be reviewed and revised regularly. This policy statement was last reviewed on December 20, 2024.
