New SIM Grant Addresses Quality Gaps in Health Care
SIM or State Innovation Model is an initiative to facilitate the spread of innovative health care models, integrating population health into transformation efforts, engaging a broad range of stakeholders, and leveraging existing efforts to
improve health care delivery outcomes.
In an effort to address SIM/Quality Measurements, Healthix and the Bronx RHIO are joining forces to leverage their expertise on
this newly awarded $500,000 a year grant
. Healthix and the Bronx RHIO will advise PCMH designated practices in the region on their achievement toward meeting HEDIS measures. They will also assist in the identification and closure of gaps in care. Upon successful completion of this pilot, these analytic capabilities can be rolled out to a broader community of organizations.

Dr. Kenneth Bromberg Joins with Healthix to Assist Physicians in Connecting to HIE
Kenneth Bromberg, MD, sees the tremendous value data exchange can bring to patient care. As a long time practicing pediatrician, he understands the real-world experience of physicians working in the diverse urban areas of New York City and Long Island. “I look forward to helping my colleagues understand the value HIE can bring to improving quality of care, and the positive impact it can have on higher reimbursements — especially in a value-based care setting.” Dr. Bromberg joins Healthix as a consultant and clinical champion, assisting physicians with connecting to, and benefiting from, data exchange. Again, Healthix Expands Hub Models with 6 New EHRs
Healthix continues to grow its successful Hub Model program, and now counts 22 EHRs live in production. Hub Models enable Healthix to connect directly to the EHR’s Hub allowing easy exchange of data with the physician practices and healthcare organizations using that same EHR.
Healthix is adding 6 new EHRs:
AntWorks, Azalea, Criterions, Greenway-Intergy, Medi-EHR and Suncoast. Each allows physicians using those EHRs to contribute key data elements in a format consistent with national standards.
Healthix received $202,500 in grant funding from NYeC to expand the successful hub model program.
