COVID-19 Alerts In collaboration with NYeC and the New York State DOH, we were able to waive written patient consent for COVID-19 Alerts related to laboratory test results sent to providers. This facilitated the immediate sending of thousands of

Verbal ConsentNew York State is allowing informed, verbal consent for telehealth visits in lieu of the current SHIN-NY written consent requirements. It is important to note that Participants opting for this level of access are required to document verbal consent for future audits. LEARN MORE>

Bi-Directional ExchangeA waiver of SHIN-NY affirmative written consent was granted for patients receiving care from the VA or the Military Health System (MHS) to allow VA and MHS facilities to access information from the SHIN-NY using the consent process in use by the VA and MHS
