Higher quality data means they can help healthcare organizations understand their region more clearly, allowing them to allocate their resources in the areas that need it. Key to achieving this, is translating the data from the various standards used by HIE participants.

DATA FROM HEALTHIX AND THE BRONX RHIO SUPPORTS INTEGRATED CARE FOR KIDS PROJECT The BE-InCK NY project cooperative agreement from CMS to the NYS Department of Health and Montefiore Medical Center funds a seven-year data-driven effort by the NYS DOH to improve children’s health in eight key Bronx zip codes. The project aims to model and implement integrated care networks and promote care management for children through creating a close partnership between healthcare providers, community based organizations, health homes for children, city agencies and managed care plans. A key project aim is to develop an alternative payment model that can be tested and evaluated. It marks a landmark collaboration between the Bronx RHIO and Healthix. The project includes data sharing from both HIEs, as well as innovative technical solutions for data aggregation, analysis, and access. In particular, query-response technology will allow Healthix BE-InCK NY project members to use the Healthix portal to view BE-InCK NY project data. THANK YOU - YOUR VOICE MATTERS!
